Car has started to hesitate at random times although starts fine every time. New plugs been in for about 2k miles. No dtcs logged. As its random and not only when under load, I'm thinking the coil pack? Or cps?

Also, off to a scrap yard tomorrow for some steel wheels for the winter months, what 15" or 16" steel rims from otherodels will fit my Audi? Will golf mk4, passats or merc wheels for even?? Just so I have more chance of getting some wheels as they very rarely have plenty of audis in stock.

Cheers,

Dan

Vaccum leak caused random shuddering on mums 1.8T.

Passat wheels will fit, mk4 golf or A3 wont thoughm they're a different PCD.

Not worth messing with Merc rims TBH

Be careful as 15" might not fit over your brakes. Mine just fit over 288 discs!

Car has standard A4 brakes, so 15" should be ok?

I've got 15" alloys on both of mine for the winter, with 195/65/15 winter tyres on. They are specced wheels for the car, so no problems fitting. My wife has had to go one better, and has the Dunlop Wintersport D4s.
There was a thread about the winter wheels here Advice needed: Steel Wheels and Winter Tyres for my B5 Avant Quattro that may help
