Airbag Problem Again

Following on from here http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?58077-AirBag-Help&highlight=

I had this fixed at the stealers £200 for 6 plastic connectors and labour to stop the airbag light.

Now it has started again. Not sure what side is causing it and was intermittent when driving the other day(flashing on and off)

Is there anyone near Portsmouth with VAG diagnostocs that could check this out for me to see where the problem is.

Dont fanmcy another 200 quid trip to the stealers

Thanks to a nice man at Audi he checked it for me on saturday for free.

Seems that it is a Crash Sensor on the passenger side near the seatbelt trensioner

I presume this is in tghe bottom of the pillar. How easy is it to get to so i can get a new one and change it

Hi mate, I am facing the same problem. I don't know where to start with the dismantling. Have you sorted it? Any advice is very welcome

Yes i did, it was a front crash sensor 70 quid from audi then screwed in myself.

you need it plugging into diagnostics to tell you what one is faulty ten you can replace it, they are really easy to get to

my one is somewhere in the pillar between the two doors (G179) -> just don't know how to get to it

unbolt the seat belt holder at bottom. pull back carpet and trip and its in the void behind the rail the seatbelt attaches to
