All the different wheels here and I don't see a single VB3... time to correct that.

I will post some more pics after I get the car back from alignment today, I put Koni FSD's and H&R Sport springs on it recently so the ride height is a bit more appropriate now.
 
Anyone running standard facelift wheels what have been sprayed black or grey on a Ibis white Sportback. Pics would be great.

H&R Sport springs with Koni FSD's are finally on... :yahoo:


Fair warning about the VMR wheels... in 19", them ******** are over 50 lb with the tires on. They also require 3mm spacers in the back to clear the calipers and with 45 offset they rub in the rear on the Sportback before the spacers even go on. I didn't know about spacers and didn't have them when the wheels went on so ended up having the calipers ground down to make them fit.

Otherwise, pretty damn happy with how they came out.

Gryphon, the VMR's are tight mate, really liking them. Ginger, BBS CK's in anthracite are the best, but hey, I'm biased! N8, as ever the Helio's are rockin', but the red splits are far too cool mate. Mark Morrison has his 19" splits done in crackle black on his caddy and if he wants to sell them, I'll be all over it. I've added pics below for interest (sure he won't mind!), but first, some of mine, poor pics, but hey...

Love Mark's caddy :wub:, he wants Helios now :laugh:, spoke to him on the phone yest. Not sure about those Breytons on the RS6, somethings missing for me :ninja:

Mark's done a fair amount of work on the caddy already, looks even better in the flesh. Not sure on the fitments of the Breyton's but think the smallest is a 20". I don't know though to be honest, but with the black wheels, would need to be a complimentary car colour and I find the detail in black wheels gets lost. They do have some nice looking wheels though.
 
N8 - not really sure at the moment buddy - just want 19's.

Liking the look of MTM's and obviously the BBS but with the Ibis white, i cant decide if I want to follow the trend and go for black alloys or not.

And if i do alloys then the Revo stage 1 is going to have to wait, and there is no point in looking good as I get overtaken!!

Oh aye! I love the subtle touches as well, old school lower door fins, anthracite resprayed grill surround, rings and mirrors. Sorry, rimz thread. :ninja:
 
The manc lad with that white one told me he had 3 A3's, 2 of them white, one painted, one wrapped! I'm not sure if he was bulling or not but that plate has been on 2 different A3's for sale on ebay and that particular one has been listed a number of times. Also that plate was on a dark grey coloured one a while back too, maybe thats been wrapped white? I'm confused!!
 
well as far as i know that car was a 2004 8p with the older steering wheel/interior in it as it was originally a double grill front. He converted it to the sline kit and had the roof painted and added the black optics grill. Those alloys are yummy on his white car :)
