8Y S3 exhaust tips

Has anyone been anal enough to remove their exhaust tips for cleaning/upgrade purposes yet?

I'm looking to find out the internal diameter and whether or not they'd be a straight swap on to an 8V S3.

Can you do a video of drive bys, and some driving if possible on dynamic and comfort if possible. Thinking of this myself!

Its a beast, sound alot better to be honest. Still no proper DSG farts but im looking putting it stage 2 which would include removing the cat of the exhaust, might aswell take the gpf’s off then too. The stage 1 from abt will transform the car.

I had a BCS Powervalve on my Golf GTI before and loved it. They haven’t done an S3 8Y as far as I’m aware yet though.

Ok here’s a couple of idling/revving videos (soft limiters suck). The 1st one is in Efficiency mode, the 2nd in Dynamic.

How many miles does the exhaust have on it now?
I know it’ll get a little louder after a short while from having one previously. Honestly the S3 sounds like a normal A3 sometimes, Which it’s not meant to be.

It’s got about 500 miles on it I’d say, but it gets a little louder once the engine gets warmer too. That was a cold start after 8 1/2 hours standing.
When lifting off power in dynamic, there’s no “bangs” but lots of crackles and pops etc.

Sorry just seen this. Technically it should have been about 2k for the exhaust (the tips are carbon fibre) but I lent them my car for a few weeks to develop on so got stands me at about £500 all in. It’s a thing of beauty underneath too!
