Hi,

Yesterday I coded "pace car" blinker.
I set (18 and19) / left (16 and 17)
[09 – Centrale Electrique] -> [Security Access – 16] 31347 -> [Adaptation – 10] ->
Leuchte 16BLK SLB35BLK SL KC9-Lichtfunktion A 16 » Blinken links Helllphase
Leuchte 17TFL R BLK SRB3TFL R BLK SR KC3-Lichtfunktion A 17 » Blinken retchs Hellphase
Leuchte18BLK HLA60 Lichtfunktion A 18 » Blinken links Dunkelphase
Leuchte19BLK HRC31 Lichtfunktion A 19 » Blinken links Dunkelphase

when I finished coding I checked what are the settings in the others "Lichtfunktion" and i'm curious why everywhere in "Lichtfunktion C" are "Blinken links Dunkelphase"
I don't have active rear DLR

I have one more question.
Does anyone know which channel is responsible for the turn signal in the mirror?

None, goes through door module

Is the document created by DJAlix still available ? Last link i found is dead and the document no longer appears in his signature :)

Thanks in advance!

Removed a while ago due to abuse.

Ah, bummer. I understand. I used it a while ago (2015, when i first got my S3) and found it super useful and was looking to see if anything new and interesting had been added to it, since.
Well, thanks for your good work, too bad good things get ruined by people.

Hey, I read that enabling the rear visual parking sensors isn't an option on FL models? Is that still correct?

Oh that's a real shame, can I ask what the most popular things that people get enabled?

Check out my coding and retrofit blog in the sponsors forum section, @vagcarcoding on Instagram or Facebook. Lots of examples.

What is "Pace Car" lights? Any chance of a video?

Is this possible on the s5 do you know? Is it on all the time or selectable via mmi?
Never been asked to do this on a new MLBevoII platform car so not sure.

If possible then it’s on all the time for turning signals, alarm system notifications and hazard lights with no MMI control.

Ladies and Gents, need a favour if possible.

Would anyone in or around north London, who has thew following vehicles, equipped with the Audi Technology Pack, be willing to let me connect to your vehicle in order to test my new software based (genuine OEM Audi) Video in Motion solution. I am only looking for the following A3, S3, RS3 vehicles:
  • 2017 (still needed)
  • 2018 (no longer needed, volunteer found)
  • 2019 (still needed)
Currently these vehicles require that additional and costly hardware be installed in order to activate Video in Motion. I have a new software based solution which has been tested on my own vehicle, with the most up to date 2019 MMI firmware, however my MMI hardware has been superseded so further testing is needed and I have no 8V vehicles booked in for a while. Will to swap my services for the brief use of your vehicle :)

(I am also looking for A4, A5, Q5 and Q7 vehicles of the same years and Techpack for testing)

Genuine OEM Audi??? Really.....

A3 8V Facelift Limousine

You have never heard of Genuine OEM software?
I have never heard from Audi AG that they will be implementing/rolling out a software pack for VIM. Will ask my collegaes at AG if they know about this.

And as you know i have also access to the latest software etc.

But this is an interesting development. Keep up the good work

I think you need to read my text again. MY solution uses Genuine Audi OEM software, IE no hacking, no 3rd party updates etc.

Sorry misread.

Will be following this. If you need remote access to cars i can arrange that for you.

Solution cannot be completed remotely but thanks.

Just an FYI, VW Group do offer an SVM solution for VIM but its for emergency and service vehicles only and can only be implemented at the factory build stage of a vehicle.

@DJAlix more than happy for you to use my car which is a Sept 2016 production date FaceLift
Thanks fella. Needed 17, 18 and 19 vehicles tho... which have all been tested thanks to the forum.

For the benefit of Mr @949 each member that allowed me to test on their vehicles received more than £100 of works in exchange for their time.

(Check out the Magride thread for contex)

Another example for Mr @949 ... Mr @jrumball here came to visit me after trying to retrofit Active TPMS. I did charge him for the basic coding but I had to correct his physical installation and also took the control module out of my own vehicle to use in his as the unit he was supplied with needed bench works to get it up and running. So a brand now control module in exchange for his and a good hour of professional installation for free, because as a forum member I wanted him to go away happy.

I'm happy for you to work on mine S3 2017, but I am a little far away in Leeds, I do have my own VCDS if this needed and we could do a remote session ?

Many thanks but for the testing I was conducting I specifically needed vehicles manufactured in 2017, 18 and 19 due to hardware changes.

You had my 2019 S3 last night. Would you like me to bring it back at some point? More than happy to help as you know I want the VIM to work.. :rockwoot:

Was great meeting you and your car last night. Hope your still liking the MagRide calibration :)

Unfortunately your vehicle does not have the Technology pack which is needed for DVD, SD Card and USB based video in motion. I am working on a method for the other systems and will 100% invite you back over.

@DJAlix are you able to provide a solution for manually opening/closing exhaust flaps? e.g. when it's in efficiency mode have them closed but open in individual/dynamic?
I'd be very interested in this if so
