8l s3

Depends on the year/engine code... fuse 31 is the one to pull but you shouldn't really run it for too long if you can help it... we do this for dyno runs on 2wd rollers..

The car runs in FWD unless it needs to engage the haldex anyway...

Why do you want to run 2wd?

Thats typically a faulty controller and/or irregular oil changes..

Pulling fuse 31 disables the haldex... if you don't have fuse 31 (some early S3's don't) then you have to pull the plug off the back of the diff... if the locking up at low speed goes after disabling the haldex then chances are the controllers seen batter days

I drove an S3 with knackered Haldex controller for 2k miles with no damage, and I tracked my own S3 with the Haldex not working aswell with nothing broken. So long as the rear axle moves with the front, it should be ok. 2wd RR runs seem to be ok in moderation I guess.

Hi all.
I pulled fuse 31 what a difference. No locking up of rear wheels on hard turning.
And sh#t is it fast.

Looks like a new haldex controller is on the cards.

Anyone know where is best to get one?

Thanks all

I would start with a Haldex service first to be honest.
