8L chassis

Is the 8L chassis based on one of the golf platforms, if so does anyone know which platform it's based on.

Yeh Mk4.

The 8P shares the mk5's.

Cheers guys, was only interested as someone said to me they were based on the Mk3 golf and was just curious.

it's definately mk4 golf based, as is the TT, Seat Leon, and skoda octavia.

Most bits from the mk4 golf will fit the A3 too, wheels, brakes, seats, suspension, engine parts, exhaust.

Half the stuff on my car is sourced second hand from ukmkivs, edition38, and seatcupra.net!

The TT has a different wheel base though same parts though
