Hi all, new to the board but have been looking for a while.

Put down a deposit on an S3 yesterday at dealer, was a little more than I wanted to pay but has only done 8,000 miles and had the right colour and spec (will retrofit the RNSE) that I wanted so should be worth it.

Very excited for pick up on Thursday!

Here is a quick picture that I took at the dealers before I left (if I've done it right!)

Hi Geraint
First of all :sign_welcome: to the forum! And looks like you got yourself a nice S3. Let us know how you get on Thursday when you collect it! plus 57plate with 8,000 miles cant complain at all! Do you have any plans for the car mate?

Thanks

Ashley

very nice car mate. looks really well in white!

good buy.

Cheers for the replies, only real plan is to fit the RNSE and some kind of ipod kit. Planned to do it as soon as I got the car if it didn't have it but spent a little more on the car so it will have to wait.

Does anybody know if Audi are planning on releasing the dock for in the centre console for the iphone 3G? Have seen they have the old version on the site but it specifically says not 3G.

Does the dock have any other function other than charging? Car has bluetooth with the bit in the armrest.

You don't need the dock to use it, just hook up via BT.

Already ordered a recaro seat for my 1 year old son if that counts?

Think it will be just cleaning and driving for the time being while i save up for a retrofit RNSE and some form of ipod kit (probably not the Audi one as my friend has this in his A4 and not very impressed).

Think I will leave it at that for a bit then although I said the same with my TT and spent fortunes!

Certainly will be travelling in style then :icon_thumright:. The IPod connectivity - for me - is one of the biggest let downs, I bothered once or twice and have stuck with SD cards since. Many rate one of the Parrot kits (plenty threads on here) as a better solution.

:beerchug:

I got a quote for the fitting of the RNSE off a company and they do an Alpine kit that seemed good. Will have plenty of time to mull it over anyway as need to save up first!

what spec has the car got and what did you pay for it if you dont mind me asking

EDIT
Was it the one from Stafford Audi with Bose, parking sensors, phone prep. What did you end up paying £23500???

It is the one from Stafford got it for a bit less than that but they were very reluctant to move at all. Has Bose, phone prep and parking sensors.

Nice to see the prices are on the up and up - obviously not so good if you are buying though.
