Does anyone know what the service interval is on the facelift 7 speed gearbox? I'm getting conflicting opinions of 40k and 80k miles.....
As far as i know the 7 speed (in the pre face lift at least )is a dry dual clutch box which means no fluid inside the box , the only oil inside is an oil bath used to cool the electronics in the mechatronics.
Please correct me if I’m wrong someone

Pre-facelift is 6 speed
My 2014 a3 8v 1.8tfsi fwd had 7 speed dsg dry clutch
According to the advice sheet in my last service it is @ 76K miles (FL 7 Speed DSG)

LolApologies, I forgot this forum wasn't S3 specific (no idea how to word that without sounding like a snob!)

Is that a main dealer service?
Yes. Just the advisory they give you with additional work after service.
From the "2016 Audi Maintenance Schedule - All Models" PDF onlineDoes anyone know what the service interval is on the facelift 7 speed gearbox? I'm getting conflicting opinions of 40k and 80k miles.....
It is on the main audi site under servicing https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/servicing.html and it makes no distinction between stronic gearboxes...Is that specifically for a 7 speed facelift?
i have an A3 8PA 1.4 TFSI 2012 7 Speed, would this mean i dont need to change the trans oil as well? im not sure if its dry tbh7 speed dry clutch on PFL technically doesn’t need a transmission oil change as it’s dry clutch.
can anyone confirm for this that G05218251LDSP and G052182A2 is the same oil? or is there a difference?i have an A3 8PA 1.4 TFSI 2012 7 Speed, would this mean i dont need to change the trans oil as well? im not sure if its dry tbh
He didn't do the filter then, if if only took one coffee!!!Had the gearbox oil changed this morning by DMA Performance in Basildon. Guy seemed to know his stuff, specialises in VAG cars and says he repairs and rebuilds the DSG7 boxes quite a bit, so he flew through the oil change - in fact, it was done by the time I'd got back from the cafe! Might not make it more immune to failure, but at least I know it has nice clean oil for the gears and bearings
They may have performed a relearn on your DSG which is why they covered 6 miles just to make sure all was OK.They drove it 6 miles after the work to test it, this seems excessive?!
There isn't a filter in it, it's the dry-clutch box.He didn't do the filter then, if if only took one coffee!!!
