Phaeton Alum Dead Pedal - 8P Dead Pedal

Anyone got access to the phaeton so can measure the foot rest as I noticed as per this image the shape is a possibility to fit maybe via retro to the 8P, just an idea as I cant stand the ugly black one, I know Matt got a LHD version & modded which was good but seeing this might be easier for me to do, might have to take trip to local vw stealers.
