my brothers S3...bad crash

quite bad, but as mentioned above, at least he got out of it with no serious injuries. Guess he has a stiff body today.

Piece of metal that did the job :) A slight bit of mud of black ice is enough for this to happen

The same thing happened to my dad years ago, but he span around and the rear quarter hit a tree, was all over in about 3 seconds, no time to react at all.
If your driving along and you hit mud its like trying to walk on ice, even in a straight line its impossible to control it, your bro did well to keep it up the right way.

glad ya brothers alright JAs...... bet you've been eyeing up bits havent ya!!!

Whoa that an impressive accident!!

He did well to get out of that and walk away.

I did something similar in an old Pug 205 when i hit some wet leaves on a bend once its so quick to let go there is nowt you can do but hang on and hope it all turns out ok.

Glad hes ok and at least its a good time to go shopping for a new car.

Just read this thread! **** me Jase, he's a lucky lad really as anything could've happened after the car hit the mud!! Wish him well mate!

nice car to ditch!!! :banghead: glad he's not injured though. you have pm

no marks on the road as it was over in an instant so police would not be able to measure his speed unless they did a csi like investigation which seeing as nobody has hurt they will not.

so how fast was he actualy going? must be fast-ish

Gutted about car but glad your bro is ok!

I could say he was doing 90 but I haven't asked..........I take it he was doing 50 as its speed limit is that.

Cheers Guys
and you David :eyebrows:

insurance have paid him...£5,800.he wasn't offered the car as the insurers have it in Bedford.

At least he got a payment, was he expecting more Jase or is he happy with that???

Can he get the car back??

he sent the asessor some adverts after he had offered 5k,they are independant so as long as they have adverts they will agree price.
No he hasn't got it back.
they said it would of cost 14k to repair the car.

Suppose thats not a bad pay out considering insurance companies are usualy complete tossers when it comes to paying out....

Out of interest did the air bags go off or not, couldn't see anything in the previous posts ?? That alone would ruin the interior...

Will he go Audi again or wander somewhere else ??

funny thing is that they didn't go off which doesn't instill you with confidence.
hes downgrading for a while so no S3's

he sent me a message last night asking for this forums address so he can get another one...I told him to ****** off and get a Fiesta 1100

He wouldn't have come out of it so well in one of those!!!

Glad he is ok, i know of a few people that haven't been so lucky in those sorts of accidents.

Was it a corner at the end of a long straight then? All you can see from the pics is the long straight

I spose its a fair price considering the current climate, however if it was in good cond FSH etc then hold out for more

Couple of things,

Why didnt he use one of them tractors with the hedgecutter on?
How is the hedge?
Did he run over any hedgehogs?
What phone company does he use? mine never works in fields!

I can't believe how much stuff fell out of his boot
