Ah ha! So ur the test pilot for the Evoms....
I've been emailing them about this! I wasn't aware the US didn't get the S3 to test on.
Have you reported back to them or Regal on your experiences with the intake?
I want to get my order in! :superman:

Cracking car mate.
Looks like you've gone a very conservative height on the coilovers - looks about standard.
I'm tempted by the EVOMS too.... but don't think I'm going to do it.... a step to far for me I think..... though I don't have a huge amount of will power!
The wheels look good, if a little different - certianly no mistaking you're motor!

So what's next???
 
Looks very good. Is the red lip painted or is it tape of some sort? What do you think of the MTM Remap, did QST do this for you?
 
I know i know , and ill be honest first time i saw jonny c's car at the GTI international i though dam good job i have the bbs paint job or i would have cried,

I guess great minds think alike eh Jonny.

the Rims are actually painted but its like a special reflective rim .. bit of a sheen at night.

the MTM remap yeah great i got good discount though from a friend otherwise i think i would have gone for the giac.... but performance wise im very very impressed.

the evom's well its great lots of turbo spool noice, but the discharge noise is a big like you have a ferrit up the old pipe, which is nice when you put ur foot down but if family or clients are in the car can get embarrasing..!

im sending my pics and info back to regal today actually,

the coilovers yeah ive just put on so im letting settle then see where i want them but with the speed bumps up north cant go too low :)
 
looks ver nice mate, great job... i just got a Forge CAI and Forge d/v fitted on tuesday must say sounds amazing also test fitted it with the spacer but it was a bit load for me... i love the clamping noise it makes without the it...puts a smile on my face every time:eyebrows:

Na looks good mate, but as Jamie said, I would go a bit lower on the coils, I have the V1's and have dropped fully at the front, and fully at the rear plus removed the purple adjuster ring, looks pretty nice and I have no problems with rubbing or grounding out anywhere..

Did you go for the V1's or 2/3?

you took the rear adjuster out? migth do the same then mate as still looks a bit high and i have the fronts on half.. so will drop that too if you have no rubbing problems..!

yeah im loving the sprint booster found it to clear up any lag not that theres much but the responce is worth the £150 and its a plug and play upgrade..!
 
I had them on my car when I first got it a year or so ago, they were off my Golf, just stuck them on for a bit..

Yeah get it lowered, Im on ET42 wheels too so with the CH's your even less likely to have a problem

You know the spring platform at the rear (sits at the top of the spring) there is two parts to it, the black aluminum support which sits touching the car, and the purple anodized piece which is the adjuster, well I completely removed the adjuster and just run the spring on the platform, this makes the rear about 6mm lower than the 'lowest' setting, looks just about right!

Ill get a pic later on of how the car is sitting now!

Wish it would drop at little more at the front but there as low as they'll go!

Excuse my ignorance but what is a "Sprint booster"? What does it do and where do you get it from?

And another with the EVOMS CAI. You guys know when the S3 kit will indeed be ready for purchase? Really itching now
 
Its an Australian based company who developed an adapter that sits behind your gas pedel and basicaly it boost the signal to the ECU, so you have more response when you accelerate i tried it out for my friends shop took it of but couldnt do without.. :)

i think if you look on there website you will be able to find a distributer near you ... they do them on ebay too i believe
 
Is there a difference between the 2 wheels posted? Look the same to me?

yes they are the same :)

white would be diff i dont rekon they would stay white for long though..!

Easy mate bout time you put your pictures up, looks amazing with the white on black combo. Jus a bit lower i think, an it will be close to perfection! And the plate, loving it or defo a big fan of N3RD! :rock:
u thought about putting a black optiks grill on the front? would finish it off!

and the optics grill i like but then i would feel like i really was riping Jonnyc style off.. i might get after to build me something unique

what do people think about a black roof on the white?

Black roof would look awesome. Similar to the Sportback with Panoramic roof option. Looking to have that done on my S as well

Ah I see. Thanks for that. Finally found it.
How much of a difference did it really make? Would you say it was worth it?

My grille is the OEM grille with the optics surround and vertical sections, so Anthracite and Matt/Gloss black rather than the full black, which I think only looks good on the Black cars..

Black roof = :hubbahubba: mate that wud look cool, some of the guys in the states have done this to their A3 sportbacks looks the nuts!
 
Jonny have to say mate loving the Lamin-x headlights, any more pics? different angles?
 
Going to get some more pics of the car since the new tyres, I had some 225's fitted yesterday and fully lowered the coils down, its about 25mm lower to the ground all round now, looks very mean now!!!

Ill get some later today and post them up :)

Heres the only other pic I have of the Lamin-X headlights, they still need a little while to settle in, up to 4 weeks before all of the moisture gets out of them, still look much smoother now than they do in the pics..

I think the front grille surround would look red (a la Golf GTi) to compliment the red pinstripe on the rims.
