Had my Nogaro Blue S3 (unmodified except for an AndyMac sub mod) for just over 5 years and it has just gone past 70k of which 50k has been driven by myself I still really like the car. Its my daily driver - to be honest most of the time it just gets me to work and back. The wife has an E46 now so getting our daughter around is not so difficult (she did have a Z3). Some main history: Springs replaced on all corners (one snapped on front - had both changed for balance, rears were heavily corroded) Steering rack Multiple bushes on the front end Front brake disks Front ARB replaced Rear ARB bushes Rear drop links Drivers door mechanism (door not closed warning problem) Water pump and associated bits done (BEFORE they broke) I won't be selling this car for a while - I still enjoy the drive too much Anyone else done this sort of mileage in their cars?
Bought mine on 19000 and now on 55000. To be honest I bought it for a large sum back in the day and Ive spent a further large sum modifying it so I can see me holding onto it indefinitely. Probably end up turning it into a weekend car and adding a stupidly sized turbo in a couple of years time when its getting abit old.
Wow, I've never done over around 3k miles in one car. I never keep them long enough to do so. The one car I've kept for a couple of years has barely seen the road (joys of a project car).
Interestingly, I worked this out recently, in my 8l ownership, I've covered over 130 000 miles driving my two 8L's, and I still love them both to bits! Can't see me changing any time soon either, I just know it so well!
Got my S3 at 97k and its now on 150K, I have got a big folder with all the bits thats been replaced but never totted it up...
Bought September 2009 @ 62,000 miles, now 105,00 miles, spent a fair bit but she's well sorted now and will run her for another 3-5 years which should see 200,000 miles
weheeeeeyyy!!!! Another car with some proper mileage on it ey Aaron! Come back when you've passed 200k
