I'm looking to buy an A6 C8 Quattro Black Edition 40 TDI. Have been searching around about the car to understand it's maintenance needs. I figured out that a normal C8 has the below service intervals:
1790628364236

But bit confused by the Audi website suggesting cars need a "Quattro Oil Change" every 10k miles? All the examples I am finding have no mention of Quattro Oil Change in their service history, just "Gearbox Oil".

Can someone please explain what additional servicing / maintenance is required for the Quattro system? Does it really have it's own 10k service interval (that nobody appears to do)? Also, I heard something about all tyre tread depths having to be the same otherwise the Quattro system gets damaged?

I don’t know enough about it, but suspect this is maybe Quattro with Ultra technology, so basically on demand drive? Car will be front wheel 2WD, but if wheel speed sensor identifies loss of grip, rear wheels engage. Get Audi sales to confirm exactly what the technology is, and likely costs if every 10k, as that would be the same time you’d be completing annual oil change, if not sooner.

Regards tyres, yes, best to replace tyres at the same time across the same axle. That said, that was for fixed torsion differential models, in case you potentially overwind the diff. Absolutely no idea how Quattro with Ultra would work if front and rear tyre treads vary, as they only work in unison if loss of grip.

I’d also check fuel filter interval. On diesels I do them every 20k and use Forte fuel conditioner prior to changing it. In addition, Forte anti-crystal in AdBlue. Plenty examples of failed systems, as it uses integral level sensor, pump and heater, and is expensive if it fails.
