Audi Q9 Arrives in the UK

Audi's biggest SUV yet has officially gone on sale in the UK, with the new Audi Q9 priced from £103,900.

Sitting above the Q7 as Audi's new flagship SUV, the Q9 is an enormous seven-seat luxury model measuring 5.31 metres long, with a 3.14-metre wheelbase. UK buyers can choose between Edition 1 and Vorsprung specifications, while an optional six-seat Lounge Pack takes things another step towards luxury limousine territory.

First UK deliveries are expected from November 2026.

299 PS V6 diesel and quattro as standard​

For now, there's just one engine.

The Q9 uses a 3.0-litre V6 TDI producing 299 PS and 630 Nm, combined with Audi's MHEV plus mild-hybrid technology. An electrically powered compressor is designed to improve response, while an eight-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox and quattro permanent all-wheel drive are standard.

Adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering are also included from Edition 1 upwards, giving the considerable Q9 a helping hand when it comes to both comfort and manoeuvrability.

Seven seats, or six with the Lounge Pack​

Seven electrically adjustable and heated seats are fitted as standard.

Vorsprung buyers can also specify a £5,000 Lounge Pack, replacing the conventional second row with two individual seats to create a six-seat configuration.

Those middle-row passengers gain ventilated and massaging seats along with a heated leather centre armrest, effectively creating a pair of business-class seats behind the driver and front passenger.

Elsewhere, one of the Q9's standout features is Audi's largest panoramic roof to date, complete with switchable transparency.

Edition 1 comes very well equipped​

The £103,900 Edition 1 isn't exactly an entry-level specification in the conventional sense.

It rides on 22-inch Audi Sport wheels and includes Matrix LED headlights, S line styling, a black styling pack, adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering.

Inside you'll find Fine Nappa leather sports seats, ventilation and massage functions for the front seats, heated seats across all three rows and four-zone climate control.

There's also a 14.5-inch central MMI display, 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a separate 12.3-inch passenger display. A Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, head-up display, dual wireless phone chargers and surround-view cameras are also standard.

Vorsprung brings automatic doors and OLED lighting​

Step up to the £113,250 Vorsprung and the Q9 gains some of Audi's newest technology.

The wheels grow to a fairly enormous 23 inches, while Digital Matrix LED headlights are paired with new curved Digital OLED rear lights offering a choice of up to eight light signatures.

There's illuminated exterior detailing around the Singleframe grille and Audi rings, while the doors themselves become fully automatic and can be operated remotely.

Inside, the standard Bang & Olufsen system is replaced by a 22-speaker 4D system, complete with headrest speakers and bass actuators built into the front seats.

Vorsprung also adds Audi's more advanced driver assistance technology, including remote Park Assist Pro, trained parking, Adaptive Cruise Assist Plus and 3D/360-degree cameras.

The Q9 is certainly a substantial addition to the Audi range, both physically and financially. At more than five metres long and with prices comfortably into six figures, it's aimed squarely at buyers wanting the space of a full-size seven-seat SUV without stepping outside the four rings.

And for those who really want the full flagship experience, a six-seat Vorsprung with the Lounge Pack looks like it'll be quite a place to spend a long journey.
