Digital dash - Speed limit warning

Hi all,

I decided I take the plunge and install a digital dash in my Audi A3 8p.

Overall I'm quite impressed with the result - see picture.

There is one thing that it annoying the hell out of me. There is a speed limit warning at 64mph. I am unable to switch this off through the cluster itself as I have had to dismantle the original cluster into the new unit (it contains the immobiliser).

Is there a way to disable or change the speed limit warning using VCDS? I have been playing around with it but am unable to find this specific setting.

Any help would be great!

Just keep below 64mph and you will be fine

Which unit is that, seller link?

Did you have speed warning set on the OEM unit?

Ask the seller if there's an update as could be a bug.

I did not have a speed limit warning on the original cluster.

I spoke to the seller and I got an update, but the chime persists:(

Hence why I was trying to code it out with vcds but I haven't been able to find the right coding menu to disable it
 
Mine came with instructions to turn it off in the standard cluster, before fitting the virtual dash

Did you set it to 250km/h with the original cluster?

I guess i could dismantle it and reconnect the original cluster but im not sure if this is still possible anymore as the stalks are no longer connected.
 
Mine wasn't set, the dash uses the wiper stalk to scroll the menus ;) not the dash ones
 
Ok, I guess that would be last resort, ideally I would remove it with vcds but I have had no luck with this so far- can't seem to find the menu
 
This is clearly a firmware bug wrongly enabling an OEM feature that wasn't enabled, seller needs to bughunt & resolve tbh.
