Gear Change Clunk

Hello,

I've just picked my car up after having an MOT, interim service and Haldex service at a reputable local garage.
As I pulled away, I did give it a few beans to avoid traffic, I heard a clunk as I changed up to 2nd.
Its been fine since. I drove home no issues. Gave it a few more beans to be sure along the way.

Could this have been down to the Haldex service.

Do you know for sure if the garage used SW to prime/bleed.. what does your invoice say? or did they just do the oil and filter?

The invoice just says Gear Oil, then dichlsatz?
plug and consumables.

I think my mounts are ok. Its only done 30K. Never heard anything like that before.. and fingers crossed never again.

Was the pump primed after the oil change? If not, that might have been what you heard, as it might not necessarily have been fully primed post-service. That usually takes five to ten mins drive time.

As a separate note, worth checking the filter was also changed, as not all places will do that (especially not Audi).

The procedure i used on my old 8.5V was where you fill it then either go for a short drive and then come back and check the level again, or you can use VCDS to run the pump to prime the system.

Is there a possibility that there's not enough fluid in the system then? Similar to how you might run your car and then top up the coolant as it works its way around the system?
