Morning Team Member's.

i am busy with my audi s3 8l to convert to R32 fully forged motor with DSG. I am running a emu black with R32 plug and play adaptor and the only reason i took this route is because in SA there is no ignitron support. I know the emu black very well and did my course 2 years ago and also do the tuning myself. Also to note with the emu black and pnp adaptor the tt R32 with dsg with pnp was driveing perfectly

i bought a complete none running audi tt R32 2004 8n and had to replace the gearbox as it was completely stuffed. Got the TT running well and desided to do a engine swap on both cars. Audi s3 8l forged motor inc gearbox in the TT to sell and recover cost's and do a fulle forged R32 with dsg swap in my audi s3 8l.

Technical side i took the complete loom 121 ecu plug from the TT inc the plenuim rain connectors over to my S3. And the s3 loom to the TT. So far both motors are complete already installed and the pedals battery relocation also done in my s3.

So with the help of @<tufffty/> i managed to repin the T14i connector because on the TT pin8 is for the injector power and on the s3 pin5 is the injector power. Also used the s3 aux waterpump wireing. So on the penuim there is extra wires at the plenuim that i manage to test with a multimeter but some wires i don't know what they are being used for on the R32 tt ecu. I know the pinout but that is it. The Grey plug is the plug for the DSG T20 connector i am fine with that plug, so the matching wires and plugs are , Blue for the throttle body, i will post a pic of the sheet as is at the moment. No where on the net i am able to find the full pinout on the TT R32 ecu plenty of the 18T

I will post some pictures from i started the build and how it is at the moment. You help will be a blessing gents

In the excel sheet alot i got from @<tufffty/> thx buddy this you will see in the sheet aswell.

Lambda sensor pins matches between S3 and R32

Hi mate... BHE TT wiring diag here as you were asking about the R32 one... don't know if there are differences between the R32 and 3.2 TT but this is what I used to help me work out the wiring

One note on dual lambda... if turbo charging then you can get away with using one in the downpipe...

<tuffty/>

Thank you for the diagram, will help alot. i also noticed the same. Going to depin lambda2 and the rear lambda's . You are right just to keep the one for turbo application is perfect. I noticed the way the power to the ecu work 18T and TT is deffrent. Not sure if i need to change it. On the brown connector T6 (pin1) on the 18t uses pin3 on ecu and on the tt uses pin21 on the ecu. Also on the brown connector pin4 the audi 18t use pin 21 and pin62 but on the TT pin4 it use pin 23 and 62. So confused if i need to change any of this arround

Don't know on that one... Ignitron has some documented differences between ME7.1 (R32) and ME7.5 (S3)

Its been a while so I don't really recall if I had to swap pins around but ultimately the ECU pin is the single point of truth as thats what the ECU expexts so yo may just need to trace the wiring back and repin the ME7 plugs so the right wires go to the documented pins on your ECU

<tuffty/>

... the TL;DR is essentially you are connecting a wire from a bit of hardware (Lambda in this case) to the ECU... as long as you know which wire is the correct one from the hardware (buzz it out with a multi meter) and you know which one it is on the ECU adaptor then you just have to make sure they connect together so you may have to move them about in the engine loom side of the plug to align with the ecu...

Plug n Play looms are almost never Plug n Play in reality :)

<tuffty/>

That i also noticed . not really pnp . Very intresting this is my wire mappings between s3 18t and emu black vs tt r32 emu black notice the pins in green and yellow marked of both ecu's . Pin 3 on the s3 emu black to G18 and pin3 is not connected on the tt ecu not used. But pin21 ecu goes to G18 same place on the emu side Yellow . Aux1 egn power on the s3 is pin21 G21 on emu and on the TT ecu pin23 goes to the same place on the emu G21 Green

The easiest way to deal with it mate is as I said... this is the ECU pin out... this is wiring loom... just make the loom match the ecu and its done... use the S3 and TT wring for reference <mostly for colours coding but thats not always 100% either) and if in doubt and tbh a good sanity check buzz the connectors out...

Take pin 1 of the lambda plug... check its on the ECU plug pin the doco says... if its the wrong position then move it to the pin location the ECU asks for...

Its real easy to get lost in it so the easiest way for your sanity is use the ECU pins as fact... then identify the wires you need (pin 1-6 of lambda 1 bank 1 for example), buz them through to the looms ecu plug... if they tally up happy days, if not then move them and don't worry about what the S3/TT OEM wiring says as its irrelevant at this point

Hi <tuffty> thank you for your help and you are correct it is not plug and play but plag and pray . Used the multimeter and find the the pnp adaptor was wired for the lambda2 and not lambda one as Lambda2 and after cat x 2 lambda's was already depind. Flip what a mission and also traced all the wires back to the ecu going through the pnp adaptor to emu black. I manage to get her started see video link below. Very ruff raw in the sense i forgot to calibrate the injectors to 1000cc also fixed that was later the afternoon and it is 5cel temp outside. Garage was so cold.

The below pictures is the grey connector with all the wires from the T20 dsg plug. This is located in the plenuim connector tray. Below is also the pig tail of the wireing and with it i solvaged the relay. The Can wires of T20 plug goes to the white plug looks like that is already connected . Below is also the emu aux outputs so not sure how i am going to connect the reverse lights , starter inhibator i think it is called that and the vacuum pump. So aux 4 and aux5 can be used as aux 5 can be controlled automaticlly from the ac module and fan control module as it worked on the 18T.

Aux4 = Reverse
Aux5 = Starter
Hbridge = vacuum pump

I am just not sure how to wire in the relay's for them!

I see i have two output's available on the emu black

Was busy the past 2 day's , going to put the front end back . But still need to check why the aux pump is not working. I did use the oem s3 wires for the pump not sure if all the fans needs to be plugged in before it will work
