Thought I would post this for any Dog owners on here. We take our Dogs literally everywhere so we were looking for something to protect the rear seats.
I just thought it was a bit of a bargain and fits like a glove. It's secured over the headrests and has holes to allow you to secure dogs with a harness to the seat belts. £10 from Shein. Several different designs. Hope this is useful to someone.

Ours goes in the hatch :)

Not sure I would want him on the rear seat no matter how well it is protected, any 'slobber' type stuff can be hard to remove from trim pieces

We had similar although it was a full 'Hammock' type one that had a solid base so george (RIP) wouldn't be able to fall into the gap behind the seats.

It came with a harness that clipped into the seat belt buckle.

We changed from the boot location to the rear seats after someone we knew was rear ended with their dog in the boot, and it was badly injured in the crash, made us change our thinking 100%

We have the hammock style too but don’t always hook it up the back of the front seats as the seat belt harness doesn’t reach that far to allow him to disappear down the footwell. He can navigate along the seat to get comfy.
It’s covered by a fixable travel rug and a flat dog bed and towel for comfort (only the best for Scottie’s!).
Harris has sussed out that if he turns into a meerkat he can see more out of the window.
