I messed up changing fuel filter

Hi, Hope all are well!

So i do my own servicing to my A3 2.0 tdi 150 2017. Changed fuel filter forgot to prime the system with OBDeleven tried to start the car it turn over for 2 to 3 seconds started then cut out. Relising what i had done i primed the system car starts runs fine. Could i have damaged the HPFP doing what i did? worrying i may have.

I’m sure it’s fine if just a few seconds. There would have been some diesel in the fuel lines for it to start. If you’re still worried, run a diagnostic with VCDS. Treat the car to some premium diesel.

Thanks hope so! Always try use premium Diesel tbh, done 50 ish miles now so hopfull fine. Might change fuel filter at end month just made use no shiny bits!
