This is a bit silly question, but does anybody happen to have or find a photo of a car with these applied? https://audi-shop.com/de/de/p/dekorfolien-flanken-design/AU-8Y4060306 Z7G/
I'm thinking of doing something small to give the car a bit more unique look, I saw one in Berlin with those C-pillar decals and it looked pretty nice, but it didn't have those door accent parts - which I'm not sure about, I'm afraid they would look tacky, and if that's the case, I'm not happy to pay that price for the whole set to only use a third of it. It's on the overpriced side anyway...

Ok found one, even with the same wheels I have. And yes, they look tacky:

If you're looking for something subtle then maybe look at pn 8W0 064 317E.
Or depending on the colour of your car suffix D if you want silver.

Thanks, I think I'll go for them. I remember in some early press photos of the 8Y they had the rings at the back doors and I wondered why none of the cars seemed to come with them. The color is a hard decision though, my car is also white but it has the grey door sills that might match the silver rings, someone commented on Amazon that they actually look grey rather than silver. But are they a bit too subtle then, if they don't stand out much from the white...?

I think those door decals might not look all that bad in silver, if they were a bit longer so that the body color didn't cut between them as much as it does. But it seems like the dimensions are such that if you just stick them right on the edge of the door, they might look like they're misplaced. And I see a risk that they'll start to peal off easily if they're that close to the edge.

I've used the black ones on the bottom of the rear doors. Prefer that as not as in your face as having them on the c-pillar.
If the silver ones are at least as dark as the silver you already have on the car then they should stand out in a similar way.

IMHO for reasons you've already pointed out unfortunately those side decals in your pic just don't work on a white car
