Hello all - Long time ASN user, first time poster (well here anyway!)..

So much like my Goosey built S4 thread over the last 5 yrs, link here: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/429973/

I will try to log my progress here for my helpless tinkering addiction of my new to me 2019 Ara Blue FL RS3 8V Saloon i picked up at the end of Jan.

When i picked it up it went straight to my local VAG specialist for a health check, which flagged a few issues that the dealer i bought the car from, was then forced to address... Not least of all they insisted the car was not tuned, not modified, and had cats... all of this turned out not to be true.

After a few months of back and forth they stumped up £2500 for Milltek 200 cel sports cat downpipe and new OEM temp sensors for the missing OPF.

Once resolved i had the green light to modify so did some basic health check stuff... pollen filter, NGK plugs, OEM coil packs, alignment... then the fun stuff - oh and took it to Cadwell Park for a shakedown

In order:-
Airtec intercooler
HEL brakes lines all round and Motul RBF660 fluid
Forge carbon fibre intake & turbo elbow
VBT 5mm front & 11mm rear spacers
H&R rear ARB
Unitronic st2 ECU and st1 TCU maps
Reyland 380mm 2 piece floating J hook front disks, and PBS ProTrack pads
Bevensee billet ali adjustable rear toe arms and rear ARB drop links

Waiting to go on next, new Bilstein top mounts & bearings, with Euro Sport camber pucks, and Eibach -10mm springs (20% stiffer).. then will do the rear disks/pads, and maybe a bit more suspension stuff, in readiness for a day at Oulton Park, and a Ring run early Sept.

Anyhooo.. more to follow. Nice to meet you all, hopefully i can engage/support/heckle where poss.

How are you finding the Reylands? What did you do with the dust shields with the bigger disks? Also did you paint them before they went on as I heard/seen they rust pretty quickly.

Mine need doing soon, not sure whether to stay OEM Brembo or Reyland oversize.

LOVE the Reyland's.. have had many of them over the years, inc a big 6 pot AP kit on my previous 490bhp S4 Avant.

380mm fronts retained the stock dust shields (as its only a 10mm increase in disk OD).. they were a bit crusty, and if i had more time i would have taken them off for a refurb, but timescales dictated they stay as is.. and will maybe be upgraded with a Sprogley type kit with brake cooling ducts in due course.

356mm rears are a much bigger upgrade (over the stock 310mm) so rear dust shields went bye bye lol!

In fairness this is the first time trying PBS pads, having used DS2500s for yrs.. and I have had a fair amount of whirring/whizzing as the harder pad compound has been slowly bedding into the J hooks on the Reyland's.. its been a tad annoying over the last 1000 miles or so, but now thankfully seems to be easing off... and they seem to have WAAY more bite than the DS's, and are rated to withstand MUCH higher temps too, so we weill see

Fingers crossed all will be sufficiently bedded in by the time i get to the Ring next week

Perhaps o/t but I had AP Racing brakes front and rear on my 2015 RS3, best mod imho as you need to be able to stop! RS brakes pretty poor from the factory imho.

Yeah but the PFL had all that pig iron up front. OP has a DNWA so a bit less to to haul up. TBH not felt the brakes on the DAZA wanting for the road use I give it that is why I'm doubting the need to upgrade when they need replacement in the near future.
