Interior update for the A3 range

Oh, OK, I'll look out for that :) It does say "demo" so that could be a hint it will change.
Just to confirm it all updated and three years subscription comes with the car.

Considering cancelling...........
Know how you feel - nearly pulled the plug a couple of times myself - but, unless there's one in stock at a dealer somewhere with the exact spec you want I can't see a faster way of getting your new RS3 than waiting for a few more weeks.

With my Turbo Blue 8Y due to end in March 27 - I have placed an order for a new RS3 saloon this weekend. I personally am looking forward to the new tech which adds other features too.

My only regret is the lack of a decent blue colour that isn’t exclusive - so I have gone for the only option Ascari.

My pre-second-facelift RS3 has the features touted as extra - lane change assist, front cross traffic assist, traffic light assist (useless in the UK because we don't have the "smart city infrastructure" that it uses - what would be the problem just having the camera recognise the lights) etc. Not sure which I will use. Possibly you get them along with the 360 camera.

I have Ascari Blue now and find it very understated. Obviously when I had my Kyalami green PFL it was obvious it was something mental. With the blue I think people need to know what they are looking at to realise what it is. Still love it though.

I saw the RS5 in Ascari Blue in a showroom some time ago and thought it didn't suite that body style very well, the RS3 in that color is definitely better looking.

I think Audi's blue hues aren't too exciting at the moment... Mostly I don't even like blue cars but the exceptations are very clear. When the 8Y was introduced, the first press photos showed a great looking blue, but for some reason it hasn't been available anymore after the facelift - like the Florett Silver, which I think would have suited the FL styling much better than the PFL, I'd even wanted it for my current car... The darker blues just remind me of old sweatpants, don't like them at all.

I actually like the bright deep blue colours - if I had extra budget I would get an exclusive colour. But it is what it is.

I have had factory confirmation today - but don’t know the timeline yet. I have not opted for the carbon buckets either as I want electric seats but I have gone for the grey wheels (I don’t like the glossy finish wheels), the red brake callipers AND the red plus pack which adds all the accents and the alcantara wheel.

I am really interested to see how the remote parking and new tech features will work.

That sounds like a nice spec and similar to what we have an eye on. I have been unable to work out what the red styling packs add, the updated configurator is unclear. It looks like the red vents are gone; you can get the red-edged belts and the Alcantara steering wheel, RS floor mats, but no idea on the rest.

I sat in the new Q4 today, which went through the similar interior facelift as the A3. Maybe there is still some hope for the A3, because I thought the facelifted Q4 actually felt better quality-wise than the original one. I still don't like the skateboard screen, but the original design of the Q4 was so uncalm that even the new design with that screen made the car somewhat easier place to be in, despide some physical controls having been changed into the screen. Too bad the A3 isn't getting the same matte finished mid console that was in the Q4 instead of the piano black one.

I think the red plus pack adds the red accents to the seats on the wing area and the mats and variant 7 whatever that is. As I want the best looking interior I can get (excluding the buckets as my back won’t like that long term) I am willing to pay the extra £200 to get the best option.

Two questions I have related to not stated features - there isn’t any mention of the direct sensor TPMS system on the spec sheet or the phone as a key. I know that other posters on here ended up with cars with unexpected extra features before that were not stated in the spec sheet. I could ask if the facelift model had these features but I am not sure it really matters as the new Android infotainment system means all bets are off…

Also if anyone wants to see the new manual - https://ownersmanual.audi.com/home/en_US?error=APP_002
Scroll to the bottom and you can select 2027 A3.

That's because it isn't there any more, not even on the Vorsprung. I've been trying to find someone to retrofit it - hopefully just about sorted.

I found out from the new manual that Audi has made the one technical change that i'd happily adapt to my car too: There's no on/off choice for the Auto Hold function anymore but you activate it by pressing the brake pedal harder after the car has stopped. I noticed it was made that way in some of the newer models I was test driving and it's brilliant. I mostly keep Auto Hold on in my own car but it would be better if it coult be kept off and easily activated only when you have wait longer in the traffic lights. That's exactly how you can use it by new functionality.

Afternoon all,

Has anyone received any updates on the whereabouts of orders.
My RS3 was built on 31/7, released from factory on 2/8 - AWOL until 3/9 where it has sat at status 38-released for shipping since.
Audi/ dealer can't give me any definitive answer nor commitment as to the current backlog or approx timings.

Its a s..t show!

Wow, didn't see this coming soo soon!
Was going to order one but won't now as this seems awful!
Audi fuc.ed us over again! Thry have lost the plot! Shame been an owner for 25 years but think I am done!
Big shame

"New vision of sophistication" - or The Emperor's New Clothes? It even makes the new Audi A2 interior look wonderful, despite the screen bezels and graphics.

On the actual topic, any idea when the new facelift cars will arrive at dealerships? There hasn't been a single review video of it either yet, so looks like there's an embargo in place, even though it's not a "complete" facelift.

Even though I've expressed a deep disappointment in it, I'm still curious to see what's it like in reality.

Yes, I find the lack of delivered cars and videos odd, I am hoping against hope that there may be more to it than just an interior change, like some software updates to the drivetrain. That would be nice.

I saw some photos of one in Germany that had just arrived at the dealership, but nothing UK yet. My dealer said end of September so guess there is a delay somewhere.
