Audi has revealed the latest chapter in one of its most important SUV stories with the arrival of the third-generation Q7.
Since its introduction in 2005, the Q7 has become Audi’s benchmark for combining luxury, practicality, long-distance comfort and quattro capability. Now, the newest generation aims to build on that reputation with a sharper design, advanced technology, greater versatility and updated electrified engines.

The new Q7 has been designed to fit almost every role, from business travel and family duties to long-distance adventures.Audi CEO Gernot Döllner describes the model as the perfect evolution of the premium SUV formula:

Stronger, Sharper Design
The third-generation Q7 brings a more confident exterior appearance, with a powerful silhouette, high shoulder line and Audi’s latest interpretation of the Singleframe grille.The design continues the Q7 tradition of having a commanding road presence, while adding new digital lighting technology to bring it in line with Audi’s latest models.
Optional digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED technology allow highly adaptive light control, while the rear introduces third-generation digital OLED tail lights with selectable light signatures.
Drivers can choose from up to eight digital lighting designs, giving the SUV a more personal appearance.
A new welcome feature also projects a light animation from the doors when entering the vehicle.
Luxury Meets Everyday Practicality
Inside, space remains one of the Q7’s biggest strengths.The SUV is available in:
- Five-seat configuration
- New six-seat layout with individual second-row seats
- Seven-seat configuration
The cabin also introduces a large panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency, creating an even more spacious feel.
Storage has also improved, with a redesigned centre console featuring:
- Wireless charging for two smartphones
- Larger cup holders
- Extra storage areas
- Multiple practical compartments
- 806 litres in five-seat form
- 2,075 litres with rear seats folded
Smarter Driver Assistance
The new Q7 also receives Audi’s latest generation of assistance technology.Features include:
- Adaptive driving assistant plus
- Lane guidance support
- Intelligent lighting assistance
- Trained parking
- Reverse assist
Advanced indicators can even project signals onto the road surface at night, helping make other road users aware of the driver’s intentions.
V6 Diesel Power Remains
For those who worried the big Audi SUV would lose its traditional long-distance character, there is good news.At launch, the new Q7 keeps a 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine, available in two outputs:
- 245 PS / 500 Nm
- 299 PS / 630 Nm
An electric-powered compressor also improves response, helping deliver stronger acceleration from low speeds.

- New limited-slip centre differential
