Does anyone get the Distance Warning icon appear on their dashboard (8Y FL RS3)? Marked with the arrow on the attached screenshot.

I used to get this on my previous S3 but it does appear on my RS3.

If I go into the Driver Assist menu in the MMI, the only option for Distance Warning is to toggle on or off. Mine is definitely on but according to the manual you can adjust the warning threshold but there is no such option in my MMI.

Only thing I can think of is maybe it’s only available if you have adaptive cruise?

I do have adaptive cruise. My previous S3 didn't have adaptive cruise.

All very strange.

Very strange! That was my one idea, and it turned out to be completely wrong. Haha.

To my knowledge, you can't adjust it. It's useless since it's way too cautious, so I have turned it off from day 1 in all my 8Y's. At least they made it one of those features that stay permanently off instead of having to disable it on every ignition.

Adaptive cruise lets the car much closer to the one ahead. If you have the distance warning on, it doesn't show it if you're on ACC.

Thanks JKP. I have seen videos on YouTube that show that you can adjust the distance threshold, can be set to either 1s, 2s or 3s. But mine does not have that option in the menu.

You're correct that if you're using ACC, then I think that overrides the Distance Warning function, however, I don't use ACC and still the Distance Warning doesn't seem to be operating.

It's no big deal, like you say, DW is not a great feature, it's just bugging me that it seems to be not operational in my car.
