I’m in progress fitting a Dq500 in my S3
First of all has anyone here done it ?
What IV done so far . Custom dog bone , custom drive shafts , steering wheel with paddles , harness prepped for the gear box , brake pedal.

Thanks to Tuffty or the 3 D files, wasnt happy with the Polo trim and this saved me.

First thing I noticed when the gearbox was in the center prop shaft was too long , needed to shorten it 3cm

Drive shafts fitted , ordered from Germany, won’t mention the company as I don’t want it to pass as an advertisement, butt if you want details send me a message.

Also in order to mate the dq 250 shifter cables with the dq 500 gearbox found a 3D connection and printed it , fitment was perfect

Modified the original gearbox mount as I can’t find one with a 3 bolt pattern for the dsg

Ordered a custom dog bone as the s3 one don’t fits, it seems short , some people on you tube mention it’s long , mine needs a longer one about 1 cm .

I have recieved a few upgrades mostly bling for now as it won’t affect the performance of the car

Did some carbon skinning on the door handles as they are full of marks will upgrade the interior also slowly , was having some squeaks from the center console so started taking it apart and found some internal cracks above the radio so ordered one from Latvia.

It was easy just mirrored it like you said and it came out great , and the assembly is pretty easy with the instructions you have there !

Now a few issues need still to be addressed, downpipe is hitting touching the center drive shaft so that needs to be modified , and waiting for the electrician to set a date when to bring the car to button up the loom, and then programming gearbox to stage 1 and the engine will need to be programmed, again to match the gearbox . Maybe will be done in the next two weeks.

Yes it is just today was discussing with a friend how to do it better

Car went in to the exhaust shop today and had some mods done to engine bay and down pipe, not finished yet . Also recieved some parts from Germany.
