That's sad. Is it just RS3 specific problem there? A bit weird if those idiots find especially RS3 "the" car. Ok I see why it might be more popular than, say, BMW M2. But I could imagine what happens when that kind of a person gets himself into one of the quickest Teslas... But in my country it's more like any quick car goes for those people. And they are usually way too incapable to make it to the level of incomes requierd to buy the RS3 newer than 8P.

agree with JKP. It's a certain class of people that drive like that with any capable/fast car... imho when they get caught or leave evidence online like that video, they should take away their driving license. that'll stop them from doing it again.

It’s one of the reasons I sold the 2022 car and certainly won’t buy another one.
Round the northwest, certain people lose their minds when an RS3 is in front / behind them.
I’ve encounter some tools over the years, especially now everytime I see an RS3 it’s driven terribly.

Indeed not cool if you're being harassed in a daily traffic because ppl think the car you're driving is always driven by an idiot who gets provoked by anything. Even if it's mostly the case...

A gen or two old Merc here is mostly a sign of potential hazard. Any time you see one, better sharpen your senses since unexpected moves are likely.

Cant see what you posted as I don't have Facebook but I've personally never had any issue driving my car in Scotland or when travelling in England. ( Mostly Lake District ).

It’s just a clip of someone launching through a tight road with cars parked each side and then a car almost pulling out in front of him but realising he was going far too fast and stopping.

Basically just being a t!t.

Ah OK.

Just thinking about it I've never once launched this car. 8V yes, plenty of times but never this one. Just never felt the need. Strange?

On another topic, I just got an email to say my new car is built and on it's way over.

I can count on one hand how many times I launched mine while I had it. Great fun but, as you’ve said, generally didn’t feel the need for some reason. I think I launched my B9 S4 more than the RS3!

Whilst not wearing a seatbelt and thinking he looks great........

I do wonder why this type of owner even thinks they should do this on what is basically a narrow short street, where anyone could step out or indeed like the video a car pulls up to a junction just ahead of him.

That is why my 8V has no badges (from the factory) in a non-RS3 only colour. Diamond cut highlights removed and car is standard height with black calipers. Someone I know has a 2.0 TDI in the same colour and most wouldn't tell them apart at first glance, even some in the know. He probably drives his faster too.

Not as easy with the 8Y and one of the reasons I don't have one. c2017 were last of the RS cars that would go under the radar.

Similar to mine, debadged 2018 mythos (last of the DAZAs). Only things that give it away to those that know are the alloys, red calipers and the quattro across the bottom of the grille, to everyone else it's a black A3 :icon thumright: .
