Hi all, this is probably a stretch to ask about but i will shoot my shot anyway.

I live in the Netherlands and recently got a great deal on 2nd hand (not mounted by previous owner) Sonar made, Dynamic LED Tail lights for PFL sportback, which still hold warranty until August 2026.
Unfortunatly i cannot get them to work properly on my 2008 (made in 12/2007) PFL Sportback. Break, fog and reverse lights all come up, but the actual tail light never does.

The company who originally sold these to the previous owner (xenonlampen.nl) is ghosting my support emails.

What i have:
  1. Basic Light switch, no DRL no Auto function.
  2. Halogen Fronts & Rears.
  3. No modifications to wiring.
  4. No corrosion on plugs and contacts.
  5. No previous erros or issues with original set of tail lights.

What i did:
  1. Plug n Play - No changes to Central Electrics
  2. Facelift retrofit coding with OBD11
    1. Byte 9 = 0
    2. Byte 10 = 0
    3. Byte 12 = 36
    4. Byte 19 = Cold diagnosis rear parking lights active - Also tried with it off, and cold diagnosis in general off as i have read it causes issues for LEDs
I did not dare to mess with the actual cabling / harness that is on the lights, though there are spare connectors Yellow/Black (feamle/male) & Green/Black (feamle/male) on both inner and outer housings.
Has anyone have a clue as to what may be happening here or where/how to start with diagnosis, i would hugely appriciate it!

I have them on my pfl

On pfl you need to join the inner and out together to get the flow of the indicator
The loom also needs to be connected to both other rear lights.
You also don't need any coding.

@LEE69 ,

Sorry to bother you about it, but the cable C, running to the grey cable of license plate harness.

Have you spliced the grey cable and solder the green C cables into it?

I have the inner to outer A and B cables routed and trying to figure out how to get the inner lights hooked up to the license plate.

All done now, lights work perfectly!
Thank you for the intructions and guiadnce.

The site saying they are plug & play is a massive overstatement though, seeing as i had to pull out most of the rear interiour in order to route the cables properly through grommets.
Nevertheless it was 100% worth it.
