I am wondering what website if the best place to order a new car from, has anyone had an experience with Drive the Deal??
they have claimed to get nearly 10k off with a finance deal, but i am a bit sceptical as never done this before other than direct with Audi?
Any help would be much appreciated and are there any unforseen complications using online sites? :footy:

I am looking at this too. DTD are currently offering £9,350 off a Vorsprung, but this includes Audi's £4,900 PCP contribution (which was £5,000 until a few days ago). This PCP contribution is not tied to DTD. I have found Carwow is not as competitive.

The dealers I have dealt with have all been poor. I wonder if there is a dealer that will meet DTD pricing.

Perhaps we need a group buy.

I have bought a few cars via DTD including my current RS3, the process has always been straightforward from ordering to collection.

I ordered in Sept 2024 when order books opened so had next to no success getting much of a discount elsewhere. Last year in another thread somewhere on here someone mentioned getting a very similar potential deal to DTD from a dealership near Edinburgh, due to this being closer to me than the DTD dealership I did ask where due to possibly ordering again before production finishes but no response.

In Jan/Feb this year there was a £5k finance contribution plus £1500 additional Audi contribution which discounted the Vorsprung by nearly £11k, unsure if Audi will do anything like this again as a last push before production ends, my car was only 10 months old at this point so too early to change.

From memory my finance contribution was £1675 and around £6700 discount in total, the dealer even asked if I was paying the finance off (which i was) and keeping the deposit, he mentioned lots of people did the same.

I was told you can cancel the finance within the 14 days and not repay the finance contributions back which seems unbelievable
Has anyone experienced this?

Yes that's correct, I have done this a few times. Call VAG financial services within 14 days of contract starting to request a settlement figure which will contain a small amount of interest for the few contracted days. From this point you have 30 days to settle the balance, finance contribution is deducted from the settlement figure so a great way to get an extra saving when buying a car.

Wow!! I cant believe you get to keep the finance contribution if you cancel, that's amazing!!
I am glad you have experienced this and able to pass on your experiences, many thanks

Finance contribution is being used as a discount tool, and pulling a few more into PCP.

Does anyone have any experience with dealers who will match the online discounters? I noticed yesterday that Crewe Audi has 4 or 5 new RS3 for sale and wondered if they are a volume seller of them, and maybe doing deals.

I've bought and paid off the finance within the 14 days in the past with no costs and you keep the contribution. I also seem to remember an additional deposit contribution if you have an existing VWFS agreement and better finance rates as well. I think I've also secured the new finance % rate on a demonstrator up to 6 months old in the past

I used Carwow to price and then secure a deal on a new VW Polo for my daughter a few years back - dealer went lower than Carwow in the end as they wanted me to take an in-group vehicle before the end of a quarter

Dealer was Marshall VW and they transported the car up from Devon

I am currently speaking with Crewe Audi about ordering a new RS3, after observing on AT that they seemed pretty active in selling RS3's.

The salesman just left me a message that I may need to order by the end of May to lock in the price, as there is speculation that an RS3 update is coming with a new interior.

The RS3 is eligible for sale until October 2027, so this seems plausible. I guess a new interior means more screens.

Has anybody heard anything?

I've not read anything about an updated interior, would have made more sense to do it for release of the 8.5Y unless it's an attempt to generate interest.

Could well be the salesman generating uncertainty for you in an attempt to get an order sooner rather than later.

My understanding of the Euro7 regs that come in this November is that the RS3 engine fails it, they can then continue to produce/sell the car for another 12 months therefore an end date of October 2027 would mean Audi maximising this window.

If you don't mind me asking have you secured a good deal from Crewe Audi? If the October 2027 cut off is correct I'd be looking to order early next year and Crewe is closer to me than the DTD dealership.

I haven't seen a price yet, but they have been good to speak with and promise to send me their best price on Monday. I don't feel like it's a sales tactic, as it would be pretty amateurish.

If there was some sort of updated interior on the way surely Audi can't be looking at much of a price rise if any if they want to shift units, could possibly cut or withdraw the finance contribution though.

Crewe Audi certainly seem like they shift their fair share of RS3s, hopefully they come up with a good deal.

I wonder if the RS3 is getting an interior similar to the RS5? I was looking at photos of the new RS5, and I can see some similarities, such as the steering wheel and gear selector. If they do refresh the interior, then that would be a strong sign that the RS3 will be available until late 2027.

If it happens, I hope they tweak the software further; much of the improvement in the 8.5Y is software tuning, according to what I've read.

If the salesman is correct and a refresh of the interior is planned then wouldn't you rather wait before ordering?
I feel updated seats would be good, unsure they would do it this late on though but hopefully I'm wrong.

Yes, I will likely wait, as it will mean I can push back ordering until late in the year. If there is a facelift, I expect the price to jump a few thousand, plus the price inflation from the Iran war that is coming down the line, and those factors make the decision more confusing.

That's a good point about pricing, in all honesty though can Audi increase the price much more if they want to sell enough cars. Inflation and higher borrowing costs don't lend themselves well to increasing the car cost unless it's offset with a better finance contribution.

I'm still curious for future reference how close Crewe Audi can get to the DTD price when they get black to you on Monday.
