2023 Audi Q7 Wireless Charging Retrofit (under armrest) - correct part number & coding?

Hi all,

Hoping to get some guidance from those who’ve done similar retrofits.

I’ve just put a deposit down on a 2023 Audi Q7 Black Edition. Spec-wise it’s pretty much spot on and ticks nearly every box I was looking for.

The only slight disappointment is that it doesn’t have wireless charging or Adaptive Cruise (but from what I can gather the latter is quite a rare option and I can live without that based on the cost of retro fitting)

I’ve been doing a bit of digging and can see there are various charging pads/modules available on eBay, and it looks like it should be possible to retrofit a charging unit under the armrest by replacing the existing storage compartment.

Before I go down the trial-and-error route, I wanted to ask:

• Does anyone know the correct OEM part number for the wireless charging unit for this model/year?
• Are there specific variants depending on trim or MMI version that I need to be aware of?
• Is coding required via VCDS to enable it, or is it plug-and-play once installed?
• If coding is needed, is it just enabling a module/adaptation, or does it involve component protection removal via dealer?

I’m keen to keep it as OEM as possible rather than going down aftermarket solutions, but equally don’t want to get caught out buying the wrong parts.

Also, I would consider using somebody like hazzydays but they don't offer this as a retro fitting option for this car.

Appreciate any advice from anyone who’s done this retrofit or knows the platform well.
