Just came across this...
A petition on the parliament website has now reached almost 50,000 signatures calling for the government to reduce Vehicle Excise Duty by 50% for vehicles aged 20 to 39 years. If it reaches 100,000 backers it will prompt a Commons debate, putting pressure on the Chancellor Rachel Reeves to make changes.
Although i think there needs to be 100,000 signatures before there isa debate about it in Parliament. I suppose this post needs to apply to ALL various forums. Then there might just be a chance to get this debated.
I am currently paying £430 road tax. I bet in the near future the goal post will change and i (and others) will end up paying a lot more. Fortunately insurance costs are low.
