Hi guys. I’ve just bought a 2014 RS5 and immediately noticed that the exhaust flaps don’t open. Even under heavy acceleration in dynamic.
I managed to manually force them open and there was untold gunk/build up behind both of them. I can only assume that they haven’t been opening for years.
I’ve been spraying lubricant into the valve mechanism which seems to have loosened them up slightly (I can just about open and close them with a bit of force using my fingers).
However, this still hasn’t solved the problem and they’re not functioning as they should.
I’ve run a flap test on VCDS and I can hear a clicking from the solenoid in the rear but nothing happens and the test times out.
I also got a P3019 error yesterday when scanning.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this?
