Audi s3 8v mmi tweeks vcds help

Hi guys recently retro fitted footwell lights into my s3 all coded and working great when the doors are open just don’t, but I’d like to be able to control them with the mmi iv checked the following on my car all are as they should be

5F – Adaptations


• BAP-interieur_light_0x08 = Activated
Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-interieur_light_0x08 - active


• menu_display_ambient_illumination = activated
• menu_display_ambient_illumination_clamp_15_off = not activated
• menu_display_ambient_illumination_over_threshold_high = activated
• menu_display_ambient_illumination_standstill = not activated
• menu_display_ambient_illumination_after_disclaimer = not activated

now am I missing something as there is still no ability to adjust them on the mmi unit


any info help would be very welcome

See here how it's done. Perhaps you missed a step. Do note that some changes require a bus rest (car locked for an hour or so, so that all modules go in deep sleep/power off). Changes to 5F require a reboot (either by changing coding back and forth or use the three button combination).
