Guys, I want to share my experience of increased oil consumption in my Audi 2.0 TFSI engine. The car drives well, has normal traction and there are no error messages, but it uses significantly more oil than I would like. Currently, it uses around a litre for every 1,500–2,000 km. Initially, I thought it was just a feature of the turbo engine and that it would only require regular top-ups. Generally speaking, as long as you keep an eye on the level and don't delay replacement, it's manageable. However, the more I read and talk to people, the more I realise that, in the worst case, the problem could be more serious, such as wear on the piston group or ring sticking, which would require a completely different repair budget.
For now, I'm monitoring the situation and have switched to more frequent oil changes. The compression is normal and there's no smoke, but there's still sediment. Has anyone experienced similar oil consumption with a 2.0 TFSI engine? Was it limited to refills, or did the engine need to be opened up? I am interested in real-life experiences because I do not want to end up facing a major repair bill.
