Hi
I'm new to the forum and I'm taking delivery of a 73 plate Vorsprung tomorrow morning. I love the car the little that I've driven it but much prefer the steering wheel from my previous MK8 Golf R.
I was wondering if anybody has replaced the round Vorsprung steering wheel with a flat bottomed wheel from a Carbon black? Would a wheel from a RSQ3 work?
Many thanks Nick

Carbon black doesn't have adaptive cruise assist which the Vorsprung does - so the steering wheel would presumably lack the sensor the car wants to monitor whether the driver is holding the wheel.

Not true. My carbon black has adaptive cruise control.
Sorry, was thinking of the "base spec" at each trim level - it's included for Vorsprung but not with Carbon black. But you are right, it can be added as an option.

I think the only thing you can't add, and need to buy the Vorsprung to get, is the adaptive dampers.

Adaptive suspension was also an option on the carbon black.
I might be thinking of the S3 as I definitely had to go for the Vorsprung to get the adaptive dampers - certainly the only way to get it on the post FL RS3 is to specify Vorsprung.

Unfortunately the facelift car seems less good in so many ways.
