Hi All,
My 2016 A3 air blower stopped working (no spin on any dial setting), so I bought a brand new after market one with resistor pack included.
I replaced the original but it still doesn't spin!
I then thought it might be the HVAC control unit so I bought a new one of these and replaced it but still no spin. The HVAC dials and display all work fine.
I measured the voltages at the plug going into the blower.
Thick Yellow/Black wire to ground = 13v
Thick Brown wire to ground 0v
Thick Yellow/Black wire to brown wire = 13v
Thin wire to ground = 11v fixed ..... I would expect this to vary when the speed control dial is rotated. (I'm guessing here though.)
I've also done a VCDS reset and I now only get one fault code:
393479 - Air Blower
B10BE31 [009] - No Signal.
Please can anyone shed any tips on where to look next as I've run out of ideas.
I've also been let down by a local garage so I've been left with no HVAC for weeks.
