Greetings
First and foremost I hate whinging but feel so strongly about this I need to get it off my chest so to speak.
For me creases in drivers seats caused inbetween build | shipping | PDI ar the dealership and no one taking responsibility for it, leaving the owner of a brand new car with ‘ damage ‘ before they even get to drive it.
I get it Nappa leather WILL crease due to its softness however what I don’t accept is a brand new £70k+ having the drivers bolster and leg extension ( on the front edge ) creased before I even get to sit in the car.
The car had 40miles on the clock when I went to see it post PDI, passenger seat flawless, rear bench flawless, drivers seat not. Got me thinking what is this sets going to look like at 4000 miles
Dealership hands are tied as Audi won’t do anything about it as it’s not a manufacturer’s defect but a trait to f the nappa leather. I have been told by a customer service manager at Audi that it will eventually crease so they do see it as a defect. However my response was I accept that but this is MY brand new car, if I cause it to crease then so be it what I don’t expect is a brand new car to be handed over with ‘ damage ‘
I then went on to explain that if you brought 2 sofas from furniture village and on delivery one was perfect the 2nd had creases in it you would be sending that back for a replacement.
Whatever I said have zero impact on the outcome as I believe they truely don’t care once they have your money
They offered me a good will gesture of £250 which I turned down as it’s not about the money it’s about expectations.
I haven’t driven the car since it came home for 3 weeks due to being most pee’d about the seat and the treatment from Audi HO.
Gave up caring about something I have no control over yesterday and took it for a drive smiles for miles I have now doubled the mileage from delivery not bad for a 5 week old car ( 86 miles of which 40 was pre delivery )
Some pics of the seat, yes they aren’t that bad my point there shouldn’t be any full stop
Rant Over.
