New Audi RS3 8Y Owner

Preordered September last year and picked her up on December 29th. Boxed transported to a local detailer from the dealership to have some protection done before hitting the road.

Stage 1 New Paint Correction

No question is a silly question

Only answers can be silly so please forgive me here.

I’m no professional detailer hense getting the work done by GemClean Detailing in Reading who I must add were absolutely superb.

I asked your question to them directly to try and get you a sensible answer, the short I got out ( and please I could be totally wrong here ) the PPF is designed to protect the paint, which is made up of self healing material and in essence plastic. The plastic is susceptible to road rash, general fallout etc so the ceramic coating protects the PPF if that makes sense.

Please makes it far easier to keep clean

If the above is wrong or makes zero sense im sorry

Im pretty sure there are detailers on here that could answer that better than I in layman’s terms
