Service & Oil Reset with OBD11

Hi all,

I have seen plenty posts about resetting the reminder for service and oil for A3 8P but usually its not fully explained or one is pointed to using the physical buttons on the dashboard which in my case only allows to reset the Oil change interval, might be a pre-facelift thing.

With the most recent service i did in my parking lot i managed to figure out the proper way to get rid of the reminder.

With OBD11 you may need the pro or ultimate plan to have access to adaptations but i am not 100% sure.

• In OBD11 app enter your Dashboard module
  • Navigate to Adaptations
• Open Channel 002
  • This one seems to be for Oil reminder only
  • Change value to 0
• Open Channel 053
  • This one resets distance value for service
  • Change value to 0
• Open Channel 055
  • Same as channel 055 except it counts days
  • Change value to 0

This should reset both the Oil and Service reminders in your dashboard, at least it did for my 2008 1.4TFSI with Dash part code 8P0920931R, just odd that oil reminder is a single value tied to service reminder, while service/inspection reminder is tied to distance and time values.
