Windscreen distortion

Hi there

I was just wondering what the deal was with the A3 and the windscreen being distorted, I have just bought a one owner from new 2016 39k miles A3 and looking out of the windscreen feels like I'm going cross eyed, virtually undriveable for me, I'm guessing the previous owner got used to it/didnt notice, the car still has the original screen in it, I can see distortion to the right of the driver's side position from sitting in the passenger seat, also looking straight forward in the driver's seat it almost looks fuzzy, I see from searching there is multiple mentions of poor quality screens from new, I'm getting a new one fitted on Friday, not genuine, hoping for the best! But any insight as to other people's experiences would be helpful. Never had a problem with this before in any car, including my 8p

only ever seen this on non-audi glass. If the OEM is that bad then I would look at changing it.

Yeah I've dated the screen and it's definitely the original from 2016 with the Audi logo etc, interestingly if you dig about on the internet and on this forum there is various posts about OEM screens being bad only around this time 2014-16 on A3, S3 and RS3, with Audi replacing many screens on nearly new cars, multiple times, I feel like the one I just bought slipped through the net from a bad batch and has kept it's faulty screen all this time, it is very low mileage
