I have Android Auto on my S3 8V 2020, but it only seems to connect through USB. I have Android 13 on my phone so that shouldn't be an issue?

Get yourself one of these and you'll be set: https://amzn.eu/d/e6pM1HM

I have the first model they made and it works well. You can also get any cheaper alternatives but I haven't used the cheaper ones so unsure on reliability. I went with the AAWireless brand due to the extra settings you get like being able to make it turn off after x seconds so it doesn't keep your phone connected when leaving the car.

Seems like you still need to plug in your phone to the adapter?

My brother in law showed me this one by Ottocast, but I thought I'd ask on the forum to see if it was really the case that 8V doesn't support wireless CarPlay

Nope, you plug the dongle/device into one of your USB ports (mine are in the arm rest) then your phone will connect to that via WiFi and to your car via Bluetooth (both are required for android auto).

Carplay is for iphones / apple devices, some dongles provide both AA and carplay, I have an Android device so haven't needed to worry about carplay.

Nice, far easier than having to plug in! I went a step further and got myself a wireless charger that is mounted using a cupholder mount just under my A/C controls, AA draws some power and this is such an easy setup :p

I gave the Ottocast Mini Pico a try, and unfortunately it keeps dropping after like 5-10 mins. I think the longest it lasted was like 15 mins. Anyone experience anything similar?
