Hey guys,
Looking at installing a thermoformed polycarbonate front side window on my 2001 Audi S3 (AMK) and I'm wondering whether these are a good idea compared to regular glass windows. The main reason why I'm considering them is because recently (Today) someone tried to break into it using a screwdriver and shattered the right front side window. Not really too fussed about any other benefits that polycarbonate windows bring other than the extra strength they have compared to glass, although they would be welcome. Main thing I'm worried about is if there are any special needs for these types of windows/ maintenance and whether they are road legal. Also does anyone know if the rubber seal nearest to the seam between the door and pillar (picture attatched) can be replaced by itself or if it's the entire thing.
Any help would be really appreciated.
