2014 A3 halogen to bi-xenon look aftermarket headlights

I am looking for the easiest way to fit xenon headlights to my A3, which has halogen fitted from the factory. I came across these aftermarket Depo headlights, which are apparently plug-and-play for the halogen model. These headlights use an H7 bulb, but I am interested to know how it is possible to have both low and high beams on one H7 bulb per headlight. If i end up buying these i will most likely use led bulbs in them.
Does any of you have experience with this kind of headlight?

putting in LED upgrade bulbs is illegal, and an immedite fail on MOT. You can't even put in an aftermarket HID kit, as that is also Illegal.... H7 means halogen bulbs only...And if you are unlucky enough to be pulled over any copper can fine you on the spot for it. That said if you replace the complete projectors with an aftermarket upgrade bi-led projectors you are just fine all you'll need to do is get the right parts... look at theretrofitsource for a complete kit that has everything you need to do the swap. Alternatively there are a few businesses on facebook that do headlight modifications like this, they could be able to supply you with a set that is already done with various extra little mods ( like blacking out parts of the chrome to make the lights look sportier, change the led's for the DRL's with brighter ones etc).

but however you toss or turn it, just adding led upgrade bulbs to the dipped/high beam is illegal. you can use led bulbs for parking lights, DLR's and indicators but that is it.

First of all, I didn't ask for legal advice, but for advice on these particular aftermarket headlights with one bulb for dipped/high beam. I know that LED is illegal in halogen lamps, but I am using all LED bulbs and haven't had a problem in the last 4 years.

LED bulbs will go into these headlights with projectors, not in original halogen reflector types, so they will have a good cutoff. I am in Croatia, not in the UK, and these white LED bulbs will not cause any problems because no one will know what bulbs are in there; they look like OEM bixenon, which are also a similar white color. MOT will not be my problem, and the police don't care about this kind of stuff, particularly if the headlights look like OEM.

I need advice on these aftermarket headlights, and this site that you linked has only LED bulbs that fit in place of halogen H7, the stuff you said is illegal

learn how to read, advise given was't wrong it says literally: the only legal way to have dipped beam/ high beam legal with LED's is to replace the halogen projector inside those lights for RETROFIT Bi-led projectors.... now go back to the link click retrofit, and from the drop down list go for the retrofit LED projectors... or go for original bi-led oem ones at the price of a good 2nd hand car... the other option i gave is also valid as i said: instead of buying those lights and having to retrofit the right Bi-led projector, contact one of those headlight modifcation businesses on facebook they might be able to supply you with that exact headlight fitted already with the right Bi-led projector so it's just a fit and forget because they'll be fully legal headlights.

I just put in the legal part as you didn't mention you knew it's not allowed to just put in upgrade led bulbs for the dipped and high beam. I didn't make the rules, if i did i would get rid of it as it makes no sense at all, if the lights are aimed properly, they won't blind oncomming traffic, yet they allow you to see further down the road... only plusses to it. But hey LED bulbs don't have any legislation to them and that is why they are deemed illegal unless the reflector housing from the halogen unit is completely removed with something specifcally designed for the Bi-Led reflection.

Okay, I didn't mention that I know that LED is illegal (it isn't in some cases), but my question was not "will I have problems with the police or MOT?" Rather, I wanted to know if someone fitted these Depo headlights and knows how exactly they function with one H7 on both beams. I haven't asked if it would be okay to put LEDs or what else I can do to have LED lights, so I don't understand your comments. I just mentioned that I will buy LED bulbs, nothing else about LEDs.

I want the look of OEM bixenon, not some DIY projector in my original halogens. OEM bixenons are really hard to fit because the wiring is different; you need leveling sensors on the suspension, different modules, and a lot of coding, so these aftermarket lamps are the best way to fit that kind of headlight.

Also, Osram makes H7 bulbs that are street legal on cars which originally had halogen, so you are not correct that any LED is illegal.

And again, I need info from guys that fitted this kind of lights on how they function. LED is my problem, not yours, so I don't understand your need to explain things that I didn't ask. Do you have a3 8v or have experience with this retrofit? If the answer is NO than please don't comment.
I had a thread about steering wheel few months ago and you also commented some stuf that was not important at all.

Oke i will leave you to it: just so you know the stuff from the last link i gave you is what is regarded as the best solutions for getting legal led dipped/high beam... If you want to use those osram bulbs, i had those before and they are an instant fail on MOT, but hey you can try them if you want. (note the UK is not in their list of countries that approves them for certain cars)... you can however use a halogenbulb that gives 6000k white light which looks like xenon and will work in that projector if it's a h7 halogen projector.... ps those depo lights are decent quality, I haven't ran into a Depo headlight copy yet that is of bad quality...

And i just noticed your location is Zagreb so hey you might be oke with the osram led bulbs you linked (check the list to make sure there is a link on that page)
