Hi guys, our 2014 b8.5 rs4 has the B&O system, we replaced the front and rear door speakers with AP8 and AP6.5 and sound fantastic.

I am looking to upgrade the factory subwoofer but after some information please.

1. I have seen the Kicker KA48CWRT672 which is a 2 ohm dual sub, I think I need to wire it in series to make 4ohm, can you confirm wiring on back of speaker?

2. I see these are for sealed boxes, I have seen some people use these on the a4 B&O boxes but leave them ported from factory, meant to sound better?

3. The factory amp is driving the factory sub at 6 ohms, I take it using a dual 2 ohm wired to 4 ohms will make it tad louder etc, which would require more power from factory amp, take it thars safe etc?

And last thing, any products you recommend for fixing sub in to box?

Appreciate any information/help

I replaced the factory sub as its p1ss poor at best ,I think it only has either 60 or 80w driving it.I tried upgrading the driver made a little improvement but better off just replacing it altogether.I used a Kicker Keyloc DSP to defeat the factory equalisation settings.I then used an Audison APBX10 AS2 powered sub, night and day difference .I also replaced the factory B&O parts bin junk speakers with Audison Voce speakers in the doors and dash adding seperate tweeter pods as the factory location is very poorly designed

Would like to see some pictures of the tweeters and where you mounted them

I bought a set a standard tweeter covers and then mounted these billet pods to them and reinforced the rear of the mount . The pods are full adjustable so can be angled properly unlike the stock location

The only speaker I had trouble with is the center dash speaker its an odd size I had to order a pair of Audison Prima 2 inch as the 3inch I had wouldnt fit and would require cutting of the dash to get it to fit .So I have a one spare if you decide to replace them also
