Hi All, i have a 2014 A3 8V 1.8TFSI that ive fitted a new genuine VAG actuator (original failed causing EPC light to come on when making boost) to the IS12 turbo and im having a devil of a time trying to get the first time adaption to complete. I must have watched every video and read every forum post on the subject but still cant get the "First time adaption of charge pressure regluator" to complete using OBD11.
Ive tried various voltages from 3.7x down to as low as 3.3x for the lowerstop (anything higher than 3.8x volts throws the EPC light) and still it gives the "aborted for reasons of safety" message. I can sucessfully complete the "test position for lower and upper stops" every time i try but just not the basic settings first time adaption. I am aware the process for the IS38 is different in that you can look at the live voltage to hit the correct level so have been following the correct proccdure for the IS12/20.
The car runs fine and makes boost where it should with no over or under boost condition errors being thrown. The linkage for the wastegate moves freely and is not binding at all.
Does anyone have any experience of this please? current voltages are below, do they look right? or do i just need to keep tinkering to get it to adapt?
Any help or comments would be greatfully recieved.
Voltages with ignition on but engine off... engine on and it goes to 3.6x volts.
