My car had its first service yesterday and the experience was only made painful by the Enterprise car rental process. Apart form that nothing to note, although they did fix my boot issue. There was no mention of a software update but it would benefit from one.

Just had Audi Canterbury contact me to get my first service done, can’t get any warranty work done till march as workshop fully booked, but can service it in feb? Anyway got a service plan but they still told me I got to pay 9.95 for disposal of old oil? Should that be covered in the plan

I cannot find anything in the T&C's to state explicitly if it is or isn't. It certainly is not listed in the 'what's not included' section

I think it another way of Marshall Canterbury Audi getting more money.

Challenge it and ask them to show where it states it isn't included. You may find for the sake of £10 they'll just waive it.

Sounds like a con. I've never had to pay anything additional when I've had a service plan in place.

Tell em to stick it on the container that your new oil came in and put it in the boot. Dispose of it yourself.

If they want to be petty over a tenner when you’re paying for a service be petty back !

Email from Audi UK
With regard to the environmental oil disposal charge, this is a fee that Audi Centres are charged for waste disposal. Each Centre has discretion over whether this cost is passed on to customers. Unfortunately, this charge is not covered by your service plan, and at this time it is not a fee that Audi UK is able to waive or override.

As there is no immediate safety concern requiring urgent intervention, and given the lead time until your next visit, we propose to temporarily close the case and recommence it once the vehicle has been fully diagnosed. This will allow us to review any findings and determine the appropriate next steps based on confirmed information.

That’s not good news closing the case. They are basically forcing you to just wait.

I am hopefully getting a reply from the dealer today. The slippery sales manager I am dealing with has not been in and passed it to a colleague. Guess what. Not a reply.

He is back in today and will see my email from Friday morning.

I am not hopeful. I think Audi are delaying it all until next software rollout. If it’s anything like KD2 it made my car worse

I have replied to them stating that the case is not closed and that i have issues daily.

But yeah they are trying to force me to wait till the next software comes out whenever that is, if anything like the last update it made mine worse as well and introduced new ones.

I am still waiting for the finance company to contact me but guess they are sticking to upto 8 weeks timeline before looking.

I’m still not happy with paying the stealers 10 just to dispose the old oil as he stated not covered in the plan.

They have a lot of making up to do with me because this is my last Audi, I will go to bmw and look there for my next one.

Just to add, money not the problem of paying for the disposal it the principle of it, you pay for a service plan so it should be covered there.

I agree regarding the principal. They are always looking to make money. When I had my service they charged me £150 on top for looking at issues, that they couldn't replicate themselves. No one has mentioned getting the KD2 update on my car.

They are always looking of ways to get money, I remember on my sq5 it had a recall for a suspension bolt on the rear to be replaced, when they did it they did not follow the tsb guide and do geo before hand. When I went to pick it up they gave me a bill for geo check and correction off £700 inc vat.

I might have a tsb for you for the door thing popping out which is a kd2 upgrade. I will check my laptop I got it from USA.

That's interesting. The doors have been ok this year so far, which isn't saying much.

These is a TSB for the emergency door release. Was released beginning of Dec 25 IIRC.

That's shocking charging you for oil disposal. I guess they no longer have an oil burner to heat the workshop anymore. Just tell them to stick it in the tub the new oil come out of and you will dispose of it at your council recycling centre.

@Dasarab , I don't think that that would work as they will be buying in oil in bulk and so not in 5ltr containers, they are still being creative sh1ts though.

I gave up on Edinburgh Audi after they continued to accept timed booking for workshop jobs including MOT - but didn't adhere to doing things that way. So that meant that while they were knowingly included in the nationwide UK Audi portal - in reality they were doing things their way.

You are probably right. Another reason I prefer doing oil changes myself, you never know if they actually use the specified oil for you car.
My Sister has used Audi Dundee in the past and they are hopeless too, never had a good word to say about them. When you are paying £250 for a oil and filter change you expect it to be done right for the 20 minutes it takes. Probably takes longer to do the video walk around than it takes to change the oil and filter.
