Hi guys,
We recently looked at a Q3 2022 35TFSI at an Audi dealer and we are considering buying it. Previously we were thinking whether to get the 35TFSI or the 45 TFSI but decided the 35TFSI would be adequate for us as we don't drive much and it will be much more economical. Anyway I have a query about the service history of the car.
I confirmed with the dealer that the car has full Audi history. He sent me the service record for the car.
15/04/2025 Oil Change Service 15,579
07/03/2024 Inspection Service 8,808
The car was registered in September 2022 and it was on a variable service schedule. I'm not sure oil was changed as part of the 'Inspection service'. Do you know if the Inspection service includes an oil change? Because on the Audi service plan site it says for cars 0-3 yrs old on the Smart service plan (which is the variable service plan) it includes the following:
2 Oil services
2 Inspection services with Pollen filter replacement
That sounds like the Inspection service actually doesn't include an oil service.
Even if the oil service was done that means oil wasn't changed for close to 2 years. Would that be OK?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks.
PS: When we drove the car, the brakes seemed very stiff and had to apply a lot of pressure for the car to come to a complete stop. This didn't seem right. In my A3, as soon as I press brakes, it's very responsive. The sales guy did say he'll get it rectified but it's slightly concerning that a car that had a service done and brake fluids changed recently has a problem with brakes. What could be the issue with the brakes?
Edit - Mods, I posted in the Q3 section too as I wasn't the best place to post this. Feel free to delete one
