HALDEX NOISE

So Firstly … Have you or any previous owners of the vehicle, had the Haldex clutch pump fluid changed..?

Secondly if was done at the dealership they normally don’t ( unless you specifically ask) I did.. They only just change the fluid, & miss out cleaning the gauze filter in the pump . Which can clog up and starve the pump of fluid… !!

Hi.

It was done by a dealership in September before my ownership.

I did it again last week thinking maybe the filter was blocked or low fluid etc.

The filter was spotless and I changed the oil with genuine haldex oil from main dealer.

What age/mileage? Pumps fail, even if they have not been straining against a blocked gauze filter. If pump is noisy, replacing the pump is probably first call. They are around £220 but probably the cheapest thing you con do before looking at anything more serious and a fairly easy swap.

Oh and what wheels/tyres are you running?

Hi mate.

I’ll go ahead and order a new one.
2018 50k miles.

Running the stock reverse staggered rotors with Pzero 255 front and 235 rears both are the R02 however the fronts are worn a fair bit and rears are new.

Haldexparts do genuine Borg Warner stuff at reasonable prices and usually have stock. The RO2 255 front is a bit small to start with, if worn the difference will be out of spec.

I'm a big fan of running square tyre setup on these cars for lots of reasons.
