Hi.

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 2009 Audi A4 B8 2009 Avant and the front passenger footwell carpet is wet.
No sunroof on my car which seems to rule out the most common cause (clogged sunroof drains) and I've cleared out the leaves under the bonnet.

Has anyone experienced this issue on a B8 without a sunroof? What would I look for and check?

Any advice on where to check first would be greatly appreciated!

Not in the B8 but the B5 which almost always was the scuttle drains being blocked but you’ve cleaned out the leaves. From memory the B8s also have one drain on each side so might be worth just jet washing the holes as the rubber bungs can get gummed up and making sure the water actually flows….

and if that doesn't solve it, you might have a leaking heater matrix, but in that case, the water would be coolant and it will smell sweet...

Ok, so it's not coolant as it doesn't smell sweet but it definitely isn't plain rain water. It's does smell a bit like washer fluid

If you have a rear wiper, then it could be that if you don't have one, then it can't be washerfluid as there is no hose going to the rear wipers washer jet.

But if you have one, there is a pipe that rins from the washer fluid tank to the rear, and it runs down on the NS... it could have sprung a leak, and when you use the rear washer, it comes in the car... To check it, the ns wing and wheel archliner need to come off.

Thanks. Yes, the car has rear wiper. Will try and look when the weather improves ☔ and when not at work
