This part of the forum has been quiet - so thought I'd share what I've been up to. Did this a couple of weeks back on my 2017 Allroad. I know the winters can be harsh in Scotland, plus salt and grit takes it's toll on the powder-coated rear subframe, so taking no chances. Did the same last year too.
Remove wheels, rinse and contact wash. Poorboys non-acid cleaner (great product), worked in with soft bristle brush, rinse again. Seal with a couple of coats of Collinite 576S. Tyres dressed with Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel.
While wheels off, underbody rinsed with Karcher, snow-foam, hand scrub on inner wheel arch liners, rinse clean.
Body: Rinse, snow-foam, rinse then contact wash with Meguiars Gold Class shampoo, rinse. Panels clayed and lubed. Any paint imperfections treated with mop and Menzerna 400. Panels cleaned with alcohol wipe (can't remember what it is). Sealed with Collinite 476S. Autoglym glass polish, Autosol metal polish on tail pipes, and 3:1 oil spray on damp pad on exposed plastic wheel arches.
Next day - underside and suspensions arms (especially bolts) treated with Lanoguard. Left for 24 hours.
